Coers Family Laundry Soap


Our family of eight – soon to be nine – can dirty up some clothes, let me tell you. Plus we have twins in cloth diapers. Our laundry is no joke. To save money, my husband recently explored Pinterest to look for a good DIY homemade laundry soap recipe. I’m always fascinated when I catch a guy on Pinterest. It’s like seeing a wild animal wandering around in the city.

Meal Planning for Two Weeks


With six children to feed we have to make sure we’re spending our money appropriately when it comes to grocery shopping. If we’re not careful, we’ll end up dropping $40 just for one trip to a fast food joint for a few burgers. We avoid eating out too often by planning our dinner menu for two-weeks and shopping accordingly.

Our Laundry is a Beast


It’s been a busy few days. Our fourth child has the croup. Our six-month-old twins are teething and going through a growth spurt, which means I’m breastfeeding constantly. Our 12-year-old and 13-year-old are working to catch up from their overly long Christmas break with their homeschool assignments. I’ve been enjoying stealing moments away to work on our family blog.

But I turned my back on a monster.
