Cake Mix Cookies: Funfetti and M&M

These cookies are a little party in every bite! I love all the color from the funfetti sprinkles and the M&Ms.

Another box of cake mix on sale – another fun batch of yummy cookies. We use cake mix to quickly make cookies for our family. We love peanut butter, devil’s food and chocolate chunk, delicious strawberry and white chocolate, pina colada cookies, my favorite German chocolate cake cookies, light and sunny lemon and white chocolate, and more! There are so many possibilities with just a box of cake mix and a few add-ins.

These cookies would be great for a colorful birthday party or just a fun afternoon snack.

M&M Funfetti Cookies

  • 1 box “Funfetti” cake mix
  • 1 stick of butter (melted)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 and 1/2 “share size” bags or about 1.5 cups of M&Ms – a little more is just fine, there’s no such thing as too many M&Ms

Preheat oven to 350. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl melt butter, add cake mix and eggs – stir to mix well. The batter will be thick and sticky. Add one “share size” bag of M&Ms (or about 1 cup).

Stir to mix. Drop rounded spoonfuls (I shape mine a little for better looking cookies) onto baking sheet. Add a few M&Ms on top of each cookie. I learned this from Christy Jordan. She’s the best darn cook in the south and one of the sweetest ladies you’ll ever meet. I’m always pecking around on her site: – y’all should check her out.

Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.

These are soft – taste a lot like sugar cookies – and are very good with a nice cold glass of milk.

  1. I am eating this recipe right now, along with the hub and 3 kids. They are chowing down! It is a light, not too sweet cookie, made a lot compared to other cookie recipes and easy to make!
