I donated blood today. I rolled up my sleeves and saved someone’s life. That makes me a hero, right?
Sort of. The real hero today is my husband.
I would not have been able to go to the United Blood Services Blood Mobile and donate without my wonderful husband’s help. He came home from work today on his lunch break and stayed to take care of our six children so I could leave for an hour.
A man who helps with infant twins, a toddler and homeschooling teens? That’s a real hero.
He also mops. And helps with laundry. He’s the man.
What’s not to love about a guy like this? He works hard to support his family. He faithfully serves in our church. He leads our family with grace and love.
This Thursday I’m thankful for my husband. He’s a wonderful dad, a super husband, and my best friend.
